3* Aston Kauai Beach at Makaiwa
Located on Waipouli Beach, next door to the Coconut Marketplace, we've heard nothing but good reports about the hotel which we feel offers great value for money. The secluded full service resort is beautifully landscaped amidst a coconut grove. As with many properties on Kauai the beach is not recommended for swimming but there are good pool facilities. Entertainment includes a nightly torch lighting ceremony and daily Hawaiiana demonstrations. Dining options include theme buffets and an authentic nightly luau rated the best in the State. Golf, shops, restaurants and natural wonders, like the Fern Grotto and Opaekaa Falls, are nearby.

4* Kauai Beach Resort
This hotel is located four miles from Lihue Airport, and is set in 25 acres of ocean-front property on the eastern Coconut Coast. It is situated centrally for sightseeing activities and shopping facilities. The hotel offers 2 restaurants, a lobby bar and a nightclub as well as a hospitality room for early arrival or late check-out, a 24-hour reception desk 2 floodlit tennis courts, gym and a nearby golf course. The resort also features 3 swimming pools arranged around dramatic rocks and waterfall features as well as pool and beach services. Guests may also relax at The Alolani Spa and Exercise Centre (massages and facials for an additional fee).

5* Sheraton Kauai Resort
South of Lihue on the Po'ipu coast is where you will find this deluxe resort. It offers gardens filled with meandering waterways and romantic bridges, creating a quiet retreat away from it all. Set amidst some of the most spectacular landscapes in the world, there are 2 sheltered sea lagoons to be found at the adjacent beach park, one of which is ideal for snorkelling whilst the other offers safe bathing for children. The Poipu shopping centre is around 1.5 km from the hotel and it is approximately 2.5 km to historic Koloa Town. There are 4 restaurants on property: one is open for breakfast only, 2 are open for lunch and dinner and one is open just for dinner. In the outdoor complex there are 2 swimming pools with children's paddling areas. One of the pools lies directly beside the Pacific Ocean. This deluxe resort boasts the largest swimming pool in Hawaii, as well as a Jacuzzi, a sauna, a steam room, and various massage treatments.
