Hawaii for Families
Ohana is Hawaiian for 'family' and kids of all ages love it there.
Bringing the children to Hawaii for aholiday is not a problem. You don't need to worry about getting vaccinations, the weather is a fairly constant 25 - 28°C and the trade winds keep things comfortable year-round.
Many hotels welcome families and offer extra facilities such as children's swimming pools, kids activity clubs, early dining options, children's menus, etc. Some hotels and self-catering apartments in Hawaii allow two children under the age of 17 to stay for free when they share a room with their parents, making a family holiday in Hawaii an affordable option.
All of the Hawaiian islands offer plenty of activities and attractions for children of all ages - even though we all know it is difficult to drag them away from the pool and the beach!
There are zoos, aquariums and lively museums aplenty, places to explore on land and at sea as well as loads of activities to try, though some may be subject to age restrictions. Throw in some truly memorable outings and you have the family holiday of a lifetime.

Hawaii Island Information
Hawaiian green sea turtles, or honu, are the most common sea turtle found in Hawaii. You can see large honu swimming along the south Kona coast on Hawaii's Big Island but they are a protected species so please do not touch! The honu is a Hawaiian symbol of creation, longevity and peace.
